WMA / Live Steel Pierced Bascinet visor
With our Revival interchange hinge
Many groups who practice with steel swords, even those who use armour, are undertandably concerned about the potential for injury.
Our WMA visor may reduce the risk by eliminating the larger points of entry for the broad-bladed weapons common amongst Western martial artists and in re-enactment. Designed to flow with the design our of line of bascinets, these visors may be shaped to fit almost any bascinet that uses our interchange hinge system. To hold the visor down, a strap is recommended that passes behind the helmet.
 Made from 16ga mild steel. Shown below with a temporary thong on one of our onion-toppe bascinets, when combined with a high-quality mail aventail, the most common points of entry for a blade are dramatically reduced, without compromising the look and elegance of a bascinet.
If ordered at the same time as one of our helmets, fitting is free. Otherwise, you can send us your helmet, and so long as it has a Revival hinge system, we will fit yours for $20.
