Based on shoes found in the Oseberg (Osberg) Burial dating from the 9th century, these shoes answer the footwear requirements for earlier period medievalist. This sturdy boot has a single lace that loops around to snug at the ankle.

Made with the same quality we put into out other shoes, the leather is a high grade cow hide for long wear and durability;

These shoes are very close in terms of correct appearance. While not a turn shoe, the welted sole provides both greater protection for the foot and allows you to have the boots repaired at any shoe repair house when the time comes. They are comfortable and can accomodate a wide variety of foot widths.

People who normally wear 1/2 sizes, will probably want to go up to the next size.

Note as with any piece of medieval footwear, some people like to add a modern insole.
