Detailed Description
QUATREFOIL BELT STUDS Sold in packages of 12.
These fine copper alloy / brass belt studs has five points that can be decorated or are great as they are. The ubiquitous quatrefoil shape was a staple of design during the fourteenth and fifteenth century, and these plaques have been designed to compliment our line of buckles and belt tips. At only5/8" wide, these are ideal not only for belts, but also for garters, fifteenth century belts, and pouches.
The small round areas are suitable for affixing a 3mm stone, while the square in the center can be used for a 4mm one. Alteratively, they can be colored using our epoxy enamel.
This first batch features a 3/16" rivet base, but is very shallow, suitable for affixing to cloth or thin (garment weight) leather. Our more traditional 3/32" studs will be availabe for use on heavier leather items in October of 2009.
See below for some color options, available off the shelf or custom, for a small additional fee. This enamel treatment adds considerable richness to your leather items and takes only a few days for us to accomplish.
Each stud is 5/8" square and is perfect for use on belts, straps, and other leather goods.
