Of a style common throughout the Medieval and Renaissance period, similar shoes can be found from the 10th century through the 17th cenutries.

Made of a heavier leather than our 14th century turnshoes, these luxury turnshoes are COMFORTABLE, and yet solid and accurate. The leather on these shoes is extraordinarily soft. Reinforcing leather loops around the top to maintain shape while allowing flexibility.  We made them with correct medieval stitching, sewn inside-out using stitches documented in SHOES & PATTENS, then turned and finished. We are pleased to announce that we now have turnshoes ready for shipping!  Currently they are available in men's sizes 5-14 in natural light brown.

These shoes are sleek and comfortable, well-fitting. If you wear a half size normally, you may wish to go down to the next whole size as the leather will give and conform to your feet.
