Detailed Description
Medieval Buckle Boots
NOW IN WOMEN"S SIZES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Men's sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Available in Black and Light Brown
With a more rounded toe than our ever popular Low Boot, this boot, based on the Reimerswaal shoe, is appropriate for both earlier and later periods.
Made with the same quality we put into out other shoes, we can say with confidence that they hold up under great duress, keep their shape, and provide a good measure of water-repellency even through the arduous mud and storms of SCA events such as the Pennsic War and Gulf War. You might find "similar" shoes manufactured--albiet at a very similar price--but our leather is of the highest grade, selected to maintain shape.
These shoes, based on a late medieval ankle boot, have been crafted to with an eye for detail. Hand stitching provides reinforcement around the top and opening, while correct buckles serve to fasten the boot. Ours are constructed for sturdy wear and are available in full sizes from Ladies 5 - 10 amd Men's 6 to14.

These shoes will last well and are very close in terms of correct appearance. They are exceedingly comfortable and can accomodate a wide variety of foot widths. Unlike turn-shoes, they can be repaired when they finally need it at any regular shoe-repair house.
Note as with any piece of medieval footwear, some people like to add a modern insole. NOW AVAILABLE: Rubber Vibram sole can be added for $35 (please allow 10 days to ship as this is a customization).
