Detailed Description
14th century transitional klappvisor Segmented eyeslot (occularium) & Revival hinge 12ga. mild or 14ga. stainless steel!

This "roundnose" klappvisor features a wide face to fit many different bascinet configurations, a segmened eyeslot as required by several re-enactment and Western martial arts organizations, and a Revival hinge which allows for easy fitting to helmets that use our exchange system.
Comes brightly polished and waxed.
Made from 12ga. mild steel, it is is heavy enough for sustained use even in baton-based combat such as the Society for Creative Anachronism. Alternatively, it is available in a 14ga. stainless steel construction.
For members of tournament societies, the late fourteenth century is the "gold standard" by which harnesses are assessed. The ever-popular "combat of the thirty" emprises which take place annually at the SCA's Pennsic War require armour from just this period.
Like the originals, our visor has holes only on the right (sword or lance) side, and each opening in the visor is just 3/8".
This is an excellent visor for Western martial arts, SCA combat, or reenactment. It will give many years of fine service.
Note that the designers, Revival and Revival Martial Arts cannot warrant the safety of our equipment for any particular activity as we cannot know the uses to which our items may be put. Check with your local safety officer regarding specifics for the activity you are pursuing.
