Many people adore our turnshoes, but worry that the historically accurate thin soles won't stand up to the rough ground of the outdoor sites or heavy wear reenactors put them through. So they've asked us to create a version with a thicker sole.

Historically, in the 15th and 16th centuries as more roads became paved, the thin pliable soles became as impractical for them as they are for us, hence the double soled shoe was born.

Our Juliet Garden Shoes are both elegant and practical. The uppers are made from a medium weight, high-grade leather closer to historical weight than our popular low boot, with soles of hardened leather for outdoor wear and closed with a historically accurate solid brass buckle cast especially for Revival Enterprises.

We are pleased to announce that we now have the welted slippers ready for shipping!  Currently they are available in ladies sizes 5-10, men's sizes 6-8  in black, brown and red leather.

These shoes are sleek and comfortable, well-fitting and true to size.  If you wear a half size normally, you may wish to go up to the next whole size.
