Detailed Description
Circa 1400-1420 Single Piece Breastplate Italian Export Style
Following the "globose" fashion prominent at the end of the fourteenth century, the early fifteenth century saw a reduction in the globed shape and a subtle lengthening of the breastplate's lower boundary.
These simple "export" breastplates fit a M-L man and can be worked slightly for an even better fit. Breast measurement should be about 40-42", with a waist measurement in the 34-36" range.
Comes with two straps with hand-made buckles that cross in the back, it is brightly polished and waxed.
This is a general-purpose breastplate designed for comfort. The light-weight construction weighs less and is less cumbersome than many plastic harnesses on the market.
