For many years, reenactors and members of tournament socieites such as the SCA have had a very hard time finding steady sources for medieval shoes. Revival Leatherwork's low boot is our best selling footwear, and, having been testing in the arduous mud and storms of SCA events such as the Pennsic War, we can say with confidence that they hold up under great duress, keep their shape, and even provide a good measure of water-repellency.

You might find shoes that appear similar, but you won't find any with the quality, durability, and comfort of ours. At *any* price.

These shoes, based on a simplified version of a 14th century low boot, has been crafted to what we think is a fine compromise between authenticity, function and cost. Ours are constructed for sturdy wear and are available in red, brown, black and forest green in full sizes from Ladies 5 - 10 to Men's 6-14.

While not a turnshoe of the kind common prior to 1500, these shoes will last well and are very close in terms of correct appearance. They are exceedingly comfortable and can accomodate a wide variety of foot widths, because of their lacing closures. Unlike turn-shoes, they can be repaired when they finally need it at any regular shoe-repair house.

White shoes are slightly higher in price due to the more consistent leather required for an even white color.

Heard at Pennsic:
"I just wanted you to know; these are the most comfortable medieval-style shoes I've every worn! I bought them the first day of Pennsic, and they came through the endless trouping about, the mud and rain, and fighting while still looking no worse for the wear! Tell everybody--these shoes are GREAT!"

Awesome Service
Martin Iverson (Anacortes, WA) 3/24/2013 10:40 AM
Not only were these shoes of even better quality then I was expecting from looking at the pictures, but they also fit perfectly with no break in time and look great too. On top of that Katie went out of her way to give me extra special service as well. You can rest easy if you're doing business with RA. Thank you from the bottoms of my feet.

Winter is coming.

OH. MY. GODS. these are the most awesome boots i have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. the wait was long, with no ravens sending word of delivery. but my fear was set aside as it was given unto my hands just moments ago. and as i opened it, looking deep within its secured packaging, my heart and soul didst soar to such wonderous heights. now i am truly prepared... for winter is coming, and the night is dark and full of terrors. no longer shall i doubt your company and products. may the gods bless you all. the old and the new. and for the owner of this company, be it man or woman. to you i give my most deepest and humblest thank you.

These boots are extremely comfortable *once they are broken in!* I wetted them down and then spent a Saturday walking around in wet squishy boots to wear them in so the leather behind my foot was more supple. Once worn in, they have been fantastic. I've had them for nearly a year now and are still going strong. Still figuring out the best way to tie them, but they are very comfortable and durable.
